Problem with my mouse jumping around my screen?

Get a non-reflective surface for your mouse, and one that's one solid color. Lines, like on hardwood desks, and things like that cause optical mice to bounce around. You can buy a mouse pad, or just tape a blank piece of non-lined paper onto your desk and use that.
