My ex husband put things of mine in storage in another state without my knowledge.?

i left to california to take care of my mom and go to school. while i was in california, my husband was in the airforce so he had to stay in tucson. he decided that he wanted a divorce and took my things out of our house and put them in storage (some clothes, my dresser, snowboard, ect.) he knew i couldn't bring them with me on the moves, and i was planing on returning. he also has my bed right now. anyways, it has been one month since this divorce is happeneing, and he said he would pay for storage and bring my things up for me on the move back to california in 7 months when he is out of the military. he just called me and said he changed his mind, and that he will no longer pay for the storage and that i can pay or have my things auctioned off. i cant leave my mother or school right now, and i dont have the money to pay for this oversized unit he rented. can he do this? i need some legal advice...
