How to get a guy to ask you out?

ok ok ive been single now for 3 yrs. I know in the first 2 yrs i had some issues to deal with regarding my ex and getting over my divorce, but now i feel ready, empowered and ier than ever. My problem is I cant seem to either get a guy to ask me out and the ones ive met online have just not been good or I just havent heard back from them. I really need some advise on how to attract and man and to have him stay around ( a 2nd date would be nice!) either advise from a man or woman does not matter, actually hearing from both would be great. :)
