Should we cancel building our home?

We are building a house. The builder is doing the constr loan, initially, because of the control and making decisions, we were going to do it, but there was a bigger percentage of $ that we needed to put wth the loan. We opted to go with the builder we were going to use as a consultant to build us a home. He was supposed to kick our garage out 4 ft wide and 4 ft long. It was also supposed to be on slab but is on crawl space now. I know this was done to save him money, but its cool, we don't mid that part. The only thing that has been done is the footing and the cynder blocks. But it looks small to me. I want to ask if things look smaller during this stage? Is it possible our perception is distorted? Also what is the best way to approach the builder about this.Yes I know that we just tell him our concerns but I want to say it in a way to convey that we are so excited but don't want to be crushed by something we don't like in the end. If garage is wrong, is it difficult to pull up & redo?
